Time flies

As I sit here taking a couple minute brain break from school, I'm listening to my boys (29 years and one is 28 months) and saddened that I can't be playing with them. I'll certainly be glad when this class is over.

Brayden is just growing up way too fast for me and I don't want to miss ANY of it!! A few weeks ago I was sitting on the couch. Just sitting. Brayden walks up to me and says "Love you Mommy." MELTED my heart!! This was the first time he said it all on his own without me saying it first. He's just too cute for words. Yesterday, we were hanging out, just the two of us...we were playing around and laughing and giggling so hard, it was so much fun. Well, I was trying to explain to him how much I love him. I told him that I loved him SO much. Then I told him "I love you to the moon and back." (one of my favorite phrases) He responded, "moon...back" I told him yes. He repeated himself and I again told him yes. He then said "sun, back" Again, he melted my heart. At only two years old, he one upped his Mommy.

One step forward, two steps back...

With the constant chaos of life, I have put getting Brayden into his own bed on the back burner....yet again. I need those midnight cuddles in my life and absolutely love waking up with his little arm around my neck. He's the light of my life. I NEVER knew the love of a mom and am SO greatful that I now understand. We'll get him in his own bed soon, I know he needs it and it will be good for all of us. Until then, I'm going to snuggle and cuddle as much as I can!

Brayden is learning how to count and it's absolutely precious. For some reason, we can't get him to say "one" and he'll usually start counting with "two." The other day, he started with "seven" and counted to what I thought was "eleven" but was really "seven" again. He makes me laugh!

His new favorite word is "cool." This morning...on our way to Aunt Sandy's house, he saw a couple birds flying by. Brayden says: "Mommy. Birdie. Two. Coming. Cool." LOVED it. Totally made my morning...in addition to the great big morning hug and kiss that he's been giving me lately...wouldn't trade being his mommy for ANYTHING!!

Getting there...

So, we're still battling getting Brayden to sleep in his big boy bed and not with Mommy and Daddy. Completely my fault, I love the little cuddle time that I can get now that I'm a working mom. Anyway, last night, Bobbie got him to sleep and then BACK to sleep about 12:30 and he slept there until 3:30!! I didn't stop him from getting into bed with us at that point. Baby steps...we'll get there :)

A Blog!?!

Yup, decided to try out this blogging thing. I haven't updated our website in quite some time so I thought I'd try this message. I hear it's all the rave these days. :) Even managed to get myself a myspace account! Let's see if I can actually keep up all of these things...on TOP of everything else going on in our lives! Wish me luck!
